Mack

Say hello to Mack! He was the person that Massimo from the previous post who was searching for Japanese Promos w/ obi’s, trusted to help him find and identify them. And without trying to judge a book by its cover, it’s not hard to look at Mack, with his effortlessly cool rock-and-roller bed-head and understated goatee, his rusty dog-tags and thought-provoking leather-covered guitar pick pendant, his concert festival style bracelet, his funky colored, but sensibly comfortable city-style Asics, and finally his mustard-brown Credence Clearwater Revival Raglan T-shirt, and know that he was the right man for the job. But there are ever better reasons Massimo trust to help him find those records, but before I mention that, a sidenote about the Raglan T-Shirt.

The “Raglan T-shirt” gets its name from the “Raglan sleeve” which gets ITS name from FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan, who is said to have worn a coat with this style of sleeve after the loss of his arm in the Battle of Waterloo. The Raglan sleeve is one that extends in one piece fully to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from underarm to collarbone. Bonus Fact: The raglan mid-length sleeve T-shirt, also known as the “Baseball Shirt” has been made famous by, and loved by ball players who have worn it. Why you ask? Because the absence of the top shoulder seam gives the arms better mobility to throw, catch, field, and hit the ball. Pretty cool.

So back to Mack here. The other reason that Massimo trusted him, other than his great taste in style is that Mack is a music industry professional and has worked on the tours of Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mariah Carey, Def Leopard, and Santana to name a few that I remember him telling me. This was probably the reason he was scoring 3 Santana promos, as well as Bowie’s killer Let’s Dance, and Simon and Garfunkel’s Concert in Central Park, also both promos!

Great to meet you, fellas! Thanks for all your time and smiles!
