Tokyo Record collecting homies!
Announcing “Tokyo Record Style Day – Volume 11 – VDS (Vinyl Delivery Service), inside SKAC (Skwat Kameari Art Centre), in Nishikameari, Tokyo”!! Join us for another afternoon of crate-digging with homies across Tokyo, where rare grooves and elusive grails await us! Whether you’re hunting LPs, EPs, CDs, cassettes, or something more obscure (we don’t judge) just bring your passion for music, media, and record shop culture to share with like-minded collectors …and of course pose for a Tokyo Record Style photo with your freshest scores and your styley-est digs!
This time, we’re heading east to VDS (Vinyl Delivery Service), the Tokyo home of London’s iconic record shop, tucked inside the brand-new(ish) SKAC (Skwat Kameari Art Centre). SKAC is a cultural hub I’ve been dying to visit all year, hidden beneath an elevated railway in Kameari. Inside this one-of-a-kind art and design complex, we’re bound to find a perfect fusion of art, music, architecture, food, coffee, and more!
I’m told VDS is a haven for serious diggers, carefully curated and brimming with great records from around the globe. No matter your genre of interest, VDS apparently offers something for everyone
Since SKAC is also home to Tawks Café, a specialty coffee spot serving single-origin brews, we’ll be able to sip something special while we flip through bins and hang out with old and new friends.
You’re invited to join us at VDS (Vinyl Delivery Service), SKAC, Kameari, Tokyo! Let’s explore this exciting new space together! We’ll meet there for digging at 2:00pm, grab a coffee, check out the art and books, then call it a day — but not before we snap a Tokyo Record Style photo to mark the occasion!
See you all Saturday, Sep at VDS (Vinyl Delivery Service), SKAC, Kameari, Tokyo! The more the merrier 🙂
