Tokyo Record Style Day Vol. 8 – Physical Store – Organic Music + Planet Baby
A very big thank you to all who came out for another edition of Tokyo Record Style – Volume 9 Physical Store – Organic Music + Planet Baby. What a great excuse it is to see your friends, visit a new record store, listen to some tunes, and snap some photos! I wanna send a special shout out of gratitude to Author, DJ, Musicologist, Chee Shimizu of Organic Music for and the Kanako from Planet Baby for allow us to basically commandeer the shop for a couple hours and chat away while we dug through the bins. Also big congrats on your 5th anniversary of Physical Store! The fact that it’s blossomed into this vibrant community is super inspiring!
HUGE shout out to all the record-loving homies, Takeshi, Christopher, Yusya, Marcus, Maki, Michael, Tomie san, Osugi san, Papa Sugaya, Kotaro, Kuma, Testu, and everybody else who I met and enjoyed with, including Otonori Bar, that I didn’t have time to visit.. Love having out with you all and talking about artists and bands and learning more about you through your musical interests, and of course making your photos too!

Special Surprise Announcement – The return of Top 5 Records in July at Bar Kurage in Mustard Hotel Shimokitazawa. But TOMORROW, June 9th, we’ll have a new venue preview and I’ll be spinning records from around 3:30 (or 4:00). It’s a kinda technical check and test run but should be fun. Come hang out with my in Shimokita tomorrow (…or alternatively visit Physical Store – Organic Music + Planet Baby as their party goes on all weekend.)
